Constructed from 1-1/2 inch electric-welded mild steel tubing, this bumper provides a classic desert-racer look while maintaining structural integrity during your off-road adventures. The raw steel finish allows you to customize the look to match your vehicle perfectly.

This front bumper is engineered to fit the following configurations:

• Fits all Type 1 Standard Beetles equipped with a fiberglass Baja kit.
• Compatible with both Wide Eye and Bug Eye style Baja kits.
• NOTE: This product DOES NOT fit Super Beetle models.

Tip 1: Prevent Immediate Corrosion. Because this bumper is shipped in raw steel, it is susceptible to surface rust. We recommend cleaning the tubing with a high-quality degreaser and applying a primer and paint or a powder coat finish immediately after receipt to ensure long-term durability and a professional appearance.

Tip 2: Perform a Dry Fit. Always test fit the bumper to your chassis and fiberglass kit before applying your final paint or powder coat. Minor adjustments to the fiberglass or mounting points are common with Baja kits, and it is much easier to make these tweaks before the bumper is finished.

Tip 3: Use High-Grade Hardware. Ensure your mounting bolts are Grade 5 or higher for off-road use. If your Baja kit mounting points are worn, consider using oversized washers to help distribute the load across the fiberglass and steel contact points to prevent cracking under vibration.
